In my work I see two types of leaders…
Written by Jim Vickers

The first walks in with calm clarity.

They ask, “What matters most today?”

They stay focused.

They lead with intent.

They create momentum others can feel.

The second is different.

They chase urgency.

They live in meetings and inboxes.

They grind through tasks.

They feel productive—but progress is slow.

Here’s the truth:

The difference isn’t their intelligence.

It’s not the title.

It’s not the tools.

It’s mental discipline.

And habit design.

When a leader aligns their mindset and systems:

→ Noise disappears

→ Priorities become obvious

→ Pressure becomes power

→ Their team moves faster

→ Their results multiply

Most leaders react. Great leaders respond.
